Let me be blunt. Maybe the days of Grindr are over. I have written in several places here already. I will still share some Grindr tips here and why I have not completely deleted the app. YET.

Grindr is expensive. The free version of Grindr is unusable. The minimum you need to do is to upgrade to the lowest tier called Grindr XTRA, but be careful. There are other "upsells" and if you use for example the "travel to another area" and pay for it and you are only on XTRA, then you can SEE those people in other cities/countries BUT NOT chatting with them (sneaky fucks!), so you need to have the full Grindr Unlimited to do that.

Mind you so you pay for Grindr UNLIMITED anywhere between €30-40 monthly and STILL have to pay for extra options (so far for the term "unlimited"!), like "boost me" options to be visible to ALL users around you - the boosts are for one hour €10 , two hours €15 and their insane €50 option to get boosted for 24 hours.

Their most insane offer is the AI Tier Grindr Edge up to €500 PER MONTH, which is extremely insane because while you use that "semi-smart" AI you still have to deal with other profiles that are on the free-tier or lower-paid-tiers and they still might not respond to you.

Why is Grindr still worth putting in the money?

If you are in the right location where there is a lot of action like London for example, those paid boosts will bring you guys within the hour. I had 19 guys in London in May 2026 using Grindr in addition to all my other marketing and social media channels and it was an extra cherry boost to what I did.

Should you support Grindr?

I am not sure about this. They fucking do not care about the community. In the end however we all want to get dick and so unless there are better options (there are!) we have to live with the devil and use them accordingly.
